Microsoft has pulled another fast one: an anti-Linux "feature" in HOTMAIL.
I can read my mail, but I can’t write any: the compose screen won’t accept keyboard input.
Their customer service has admitted that it won’t work with Linux. Evidently having almost all the money isn’t good enough– they want it all.

This tactic is just plain mean-spirited, and it sure isn’t going to convince me to go out and buy Windows, or anything else Microsoft sells.
KOPETE KONNECTIONRecently I’ve had trouble connecting to Yahoo IM with Pidgin and
Kopete, on my Linux machine. I just ran across the solution. Yahoo’s
DNS setup has a bug which Windows forgives but Linux doesn’t. So,
enter the following in your hosts file. Presto, Kopete connects. It
may work with Pidgin too.
